The Old Folks Home

Sleep in?

Thanks! That picture is of the Mackinac Bridge and the north west channel marker bell bouy. We kept our boat down at the marina this summer, and after work could go out and cruise around. This is one of my favorite spots to just stop the motor and float around. Depending on the waves of course, you don't mess around with Mother Nature up here on the Big Waters

No plans here. 48 degrees this morning. I'm still worn out from working on that dead tree for two days. It had died close to our west fence line. The guy next door was needing firewood and offered to help us drop and harvest it if he could have a share of he wood. Since we had to drop the fence and the tree on the landlord's property, we said sure. The tree had a 3 foot diameter trunk on it and was over 70 years old. A storm had knocked down another old growth tree next to it and damaged a big limb. We think it got an infection from that open limb and succumbed. A shame as it was a beautiful red oak. Now it is firewood. The neighbor got the top, which was a considerable amount of wood and we kept the main trunk as he had no way to split it. Right now we have about 2/3rds of it to drag back to the house.

Not doing it today though. Today is shot day for me so I'm taking it easy. Probably just finish moving my plants back inside for the winter.

Watched a pretty funny show tonight on FOX, reminded me of you all Lol.
It's called 'Cool Kid's' about friends living in a retirement community. Has, David Alan Grier, Leslie Jordan, Vicki Lawrence, Martin Mull.
I will have to check it out!

Anyone have fun weekend plans?
I was considering going to a flea market to get rid of some birds, but its an hour drive each way and have to be there at 6 am. Going to just work around fixing and building and feeding . How about you?
