The Old Folks Home

I'm the biggest loser in the snow contest. It doesn't snow here.

My bone density, and calcium intake would have been fine for normal circumstances, but the cancer drugs leech calcium from the bones. It's not exactly a matter of taking more calcium, since the drugs don't really utilize the calcium in the blood calcium level. I am on Zometa. It's an intense form of Reclast. My doctor says Reclast, and Zometa tend to do a better job, and tend to be tolerated better than any of the others.

Just finished up cleaning out my small coop. Birds did not like the mask I had to wear one bit and let me know about it LOUDLY. Didn't do too badly. Usually takes me less than an hour, this time 1 hour 45 minutes doing smaller loads and moving more carefully.

I haven't been sleeping well. Think the meds have something to do with it but also lying in bed trying to figure out how to keep doing what I enjoy doing without causing myself bodily harm. Finally have decided that if I work slowly and smartly, meaning not lifting over 25 pounds and taking my time with frequent rest breaks, I can still do much of what I enjoy.

Jury is still out on my dirt bike tho.:hit
