What happened, Chicka?  Are you allergic to the dander or are you having lung problems?  Why are you off your chicken addiction?  Call me skeptical, but I know that some people think that chickens carry all sorts of diseases and are unhealthy to be around.  Since most doctors are people, I would make sure that order was not based on misinformation.  On the pother hand, if you are immuno suppressed, need to be dust free for lung repair, or have allergies, it would make sense......

I now have congestive Heart failure. I just need to get well. The doctor said I can wear a mask in Jan. To pet them again. Sad face

What did they say the reason was? Are your lungs damaged, backing up fluid into your heart?

I never do any work in the coops that might stir things up without a dust mask other than to fill feeders.

I will be wearing a mask from now on. hubby said we can keep what we have.

yes they had me on Life support from the lung biopsy.

That makes sense. Sorry to pry, but there are many causes of CHF, and some would be ridiculous reasons to stop having chickens. Yours obviously isn't ridiculous. Hope you feel better soon.

Yes, that's what I meant, that there were some good and bad reasons to stay away from chickens. Yours is a good reason, but that doesn't make it easier. I'm so sorry, Chicka, but how sweet of the hubster to agree to take care of the ones you already have so that you can enjoy them from a distance. Give him a hug for me (and here's one for you, too!)
