I called the Dr. yesterday and they called me back today. They will give dh a weekly prescription for pain and muscle relaxers for a period of time.
I called the Pharmacy and they told me that BC/BS has sent them a letter stating that as of Jan 1 2019 they will no longer pay for any pain meds. It will be up to the patient to pay for them out of pocket. They said that other insurance companies will likely follow suit.
So there it is.

Ouch but at least you can get pain meds....'

Campus sent us home at 1:30 today. We are to wait until we are told to come back.

The smoke is supposed to be better tomorrow so Campus will likely be back up then

Well, it's NOT Jan 1, yet, so do the weekly thing for him. In fact, I'd talk to the Dr. about a few refills, and get them filled before Jan 1.

Hey Bruce! Like I said, I click 'like' on even posts that are sad or whatever because I want folks to know that I've read their posts and are offering support. Isn't that what BYC is all about?

Thanks SGC, Cap and Chicka. Chicka, that just sux. Just another reason to HATE BCBS and mind you I always agreed with the last two letters of that abbreviation. If these people don't know the true definition of the word BS nobody does.

That's fine by me. If my Part D carrier starts jerking people around, I have half a mind to call them and say, okay, I'll pay for my RX pain killers......maybe I should just bill you guys for it then or have you give me a credit on my monthly premium....mayabe I should just call my lawyer and talk to him about a discrimination lawsuit. Maybe you've heard of them..Dewey Cheatem and How!
