BB2K and I got the cookie gun out a few days ago, and made a batch of cookies. We got all fancy - dipped them in dark and/or white chocolate, put on some sprinkles . . . . The results weren't professional grade, but they looked festive and tasted good, and most important of all, we had fun!

As usual, we went to my parents' house on Christmas day. My brothers were there too, and we had a nice time catching up. We were all studiously trying to avoid focusing on the elephant in the room, which is the return of my mother's cancer. She had a PET scan last week, and is still waiting on the results . . . not fun. Prayers would be appreciated.

Frustrating to say the least @Latestarter we were just hit with the 2558.00 year for our 3/4 an acre just because

wow, and i thought our taxes were high, you y'all have us beat by a mile, we pay twice a year, property tax in the spring, around 958, and 2,000. in the fall for school taxes, we have 5 acres of land and our son is going on 47 yrs old, everyone pays if they own land, if not, we pay everyone elses school tax

Anyone who owns property or is renting from someone who owns property is paying property tax. Taxes on our prior house, which we still own and rent out are over $7K. BIG lot, yep a whopping 44' x 100' and a 1,500 sq ft house.

Is her condition hopefully understood and she is soon to be released? You do need a much less complicated life!

Grammy is with the girl .

They don't know what's wrong with her .

They're doing a bunch of tests.

My guess is depression for grampy just died, her mom's attempted suicide and subsequent meltdowns to living with them again and then getting kicked out again a few weeks back and is living in a homeless shelter
