The Old Folks Home

As a quilter the best thing is to have our stuff used. Put away "for a better time" doesn't make sense. We spent the time to make it, USE IT.
I love those, they are very nice!
Working on my scrap pile today, trying to make some 6 inch blocks and use them for the NICU quilts.
Got a 4 mile walk in with the dog before the snow started, snowing heavy now.

I can’t do avocados. It’s a texture thing.
DW got into eating them, we never do unless we go to a restaurant that serves them up on a sandwich or burger. She chops them up with chopped onions and tomatoes, pretty good don't notice that they are a flavorless mushy thing, lol.

Muck boots, muck boots, everyone has them here, even oldest DD, has pink camouflage muck boots. I prefer my military moonboots/mickeymouse boots, awesome warm!!!!!! Mine are dated 1984!!
My dad up to bear camp Adirondacks couple yrs ago asked where did you get them boots? Same that you did , Keith from New Jersey that came up and hunted here yrs ago, gave us both a pair, bought them at a military surplus store and gave them to us, ... probably 20 yrs ago now. Dad remembered them, he destroyed his the first yr wearing them in the stone quarry. I only wear them for hunting and most the winter for cutting firewood, take care of them, still in mint condition. Best boots ever, feet stay warm even -30 !! with just one pair of socks, muck boots ain't got nothing on them!
Pretty funny though when I got them I was driving my 'little clown car' '90ish Subaru Justy, I had to to take off my boots and drive barefoot, cause with the boots on my foot hit the clutch brake and gas pedal all together Lol!

But great huh BF has a pair like them .. Mine are plain old black rubber great sole on them in the winter I wear a women's boot sock fairly light but merino wool I put great insole in the black rubber as far as I winters go my feet are warm and dry I bout them they have a wider top to set the pants in them easier and I take care of them
