The Old Folks Home

I stayed up too late. Dd #2 brought me several boxes of new hangars. They're the flat, velvety flocked ones. They're a maroon color, with gold colored metal for the part that hangs on the clothes rod. No more clothes sipping off the hangar, and because they're flat, it takes considerably less closet space to hang the same amount of clothes. It was late, but I figured I'd at least get started with changing them over. I'd bring out 5 or 6 items from the closet, and watch tv, while changing them out. Next thing I know it's almost 4:30 am, and I've got it almost done.

I'm so excited. Dd is taking the grands, and they're spending the weekend at their great gandmother's. We will have the place to ourselves for the weekend. YAY!!!!

I've thought about getting dentures instead and told my dentist that. He was not amused, well neither am I. To be honest, I don't know that I would trust him to make ones that were good.
Based on what my hygienist said about dentures last time I was in, I'm going with my grandmother's advice: Take care of your teeth, you don't want dentures".

Mine is through work and is paid by the University. Vision is the same-- I do not pay for coverage. I do pay for health care but not that much compared to other plans I have seen.
What is the retirement coverage like? When I joined the company I worked at for 34 years, retirement medical was good. When I retired it was "here is a lump sum of accounting money that you can use ONLY to buy insurance through us" (self funded). Yeah, great deal. Needed the $28K/year coverage to not pay $33K a year just for DW's Enbrel. The pile was about gone when DW made full employee status at the Post Office which provides health and dental (minimal though it is) coverage for something over $8K a year.

I have never regretted getting my dentures dropping the lower and breaking it yes
I have had this set like 6 years still fit like a glove that is difference for many.. this set is the 3rd I have had really had to think about that but 2 that never really fit well but was told they did .. I was in heaven when I got the 3rd set and have loved them since by the 6th I will have another lower

UC has different levels for retirement based on hire date. I am in an older one so I have insurance until 65 and then it converts to cover the missing parts of medicare

That is darn good insurance.
It is one of the reasons I work there! The DWs healthcare started out a $700.00 for family coverage. When she retired it was over $1000.00. I pay about $175 for very good insurance

It is a big savings for us
