The Old Folks Home

I hope so too, @ronott1. Attacks are just plain miserable. We have a friend back in IL who admitted that he had gout and when he had an attack it was in his knee. He told us that we couldn't imagine the pain. It wasn't a month later that I had an attack in my knee. Told DH to write him and tell him he was right but I wasn't going to have any problems imagining it from now on!

Which reminds me that I need to get my cherries out and thawed!

Hey @KDOGG331! How ya be?

I am good thanks. Yourself??

And sorry about the pain. :(

Unfortunately, Ron, it's genetic so your chances of also getting it are quite high.
Actually I think I had it in the knee several years ago. I did not have it checked out though

My two brothers are on medication. Dad died in 2001. He had MS

Yep, it could always be worse.

Ron, you are lucky if only one attack. You could probably just watch your diet but beware of the illusive and brutal kidney stone!

I'm fine, KDOGG. Today is a good day! Hopefully tomorrow will be even better! I got lazy and took a nap this afternoon. Meant to do a short cat nap wound up sleeping for over 2 hours. Plus I slept over 8 hours last night. DH just laughed and told me it was an old age thing. I can't repeat what my reply was to that :hmm:rolleyes:;)

That’s good!! I’m glad!! Today has been a pretty lazy day here too although I haven’t yet taken a nap lol but oh wow!!

We were taught in nursing school that the body repairs itself during sleep so I look on the positive side and chalk it all up under that title when I take a nap.

Just took the pups out for a run in the pasture. Man where do they get all the energy? I don't know what they enjoy more. The walk or the romp in the lagoon when the walk is over.

I sympathize, Penny, I found out that there is a genetic predisposition to rheumatic diseases in the females on my mother's side of the family...after I was diagnosed with rheumatic fever. Gee folks, thanks for sharing. It makes me almost glad I never had kids knowing what I could have potentially passed on to them.

By the way!

Happy Father's Day to all you Dads and Father figures out there!
