The Old Folks Home

Sorry, this had been hell week on a number of fronts. A cousin committed suicide a few days ago. Last week I guess really. Such a loss. A great person, with so much to look forward to. Apparently he didn't see it that way. My sister said 500 people packed in for the service -- I hope he realizes now he will be missed by many. And a baby child not yet born. Very sad.

Sorry about your dog, Arielle.

And your cousin - sorry just seems inadequate for a tragedy like that.

We have one of those, too - only ours is called Oreo (among other things!)

Arielle..sorry for the loss of your dog. I lost my Golden R. last Oct. I waited only about 4 weeks and got another one. I just love them. This makes my third. Only this time, I have a girl. The other two were great boys. She is only 7 months old, and boy, I don't remember the training being as difficult with my boys. She wants to jump up on you, can't have that. Too many grandchildren. I am walking her, she's getting the leash down pretty good. But..gets too excited when she sees other coming along. It's like the pay attention to mom mode just turns off she gets so excited. I need to take her out publicly more often..get her more socialized. Dogs/pups, are work for sure if you want a well behaved one. I've trained for years, but the last 3 years, it's just been mine I've been working with.
This old body is slowing down. I tell myself it's ok, it's supposed to at this age.

Wisher is right about the puppy though. When you are ready for one, they have a great way of helping heal that hole in your heart.
