The Old Folks Home

I have to share a couple of pictures of my mama hen. She's a bantam Favorelle. I know everyone here has probably experienced this, but I haven't is several years. I'm loving it.

I lifter her up, and all 7 babies popped out. She started to cluck cluck, like she was telling
them to get back in here.

Can you see the baby peeking out from under neath her front? Can ya tell I'm lovin it? :)

Well got my big project done that I had for the weekend.

The jump cups come in on Monday. Of course Allie was so happy that I was nice enough to put those wonderful scratching posts out there for her.

Cynthia what a cute fuzzy faced momma you have there.

DiDi... awesome job on those.

I am so sweaty and dirty. I've got the front garden planted (which involved moving a yard of dirt). Still need to plant the kitchen side garden. It's cooled down to 86 out there now. Still have to go do the chicken chores, too. I am going to sleep good tonight.

Here is what you inspired. Tomatoes, cilantro and a variety of hot peppers. The second picture shows that something got at one of my new tomato plants. Not sure what but it didn't look like that yesterday.

Those look green and healthy (except the half eaten one). Deer, maybe? Sid?

Just finished planting the kitchen side. Now I'm trying to get rid of the last few seedlings that I have. I think I saw the bees bringing in pollen today but I wasn't able to get too close to tell for sure and it was a yellow jacket that was bothering me, not my bees.

BF is bringing home ice cream for dinner. It's cooled down to 82 and he installed the AC in the bedroom today.

Not really sure. Not deer (it's in the fenced part of the yard) maybe bunny or Sid or Dave may have accidentally broke it yesterday. They are looking good though :)
