Seriously, though...eggs or not, I'd love for all y'all to have some. Lord knows I have plenty...and I love to share them. I just need to figure out how to send them safely and then I'll start digging them up. I can't be sure who'd get which colors because I never really plan out where I put them al, but I could just send everyone a variety of all the thigs I have to divide before winter. I even have a few "naked ladies" to spare this year.

I would love Bama colors, but I don't need any naked ladies (Lord knows my DH is distracted enough.......)

As for shipping, I think if you removed all the dirt and wrapped them in damp papertowels, then put them in a ziplock bag and cushioned them with crumpled newspaper or packing peanuts, they would be fine. The moisture would keep them from drying out in the sealed bag and the packing would keep them from getting beat up in transit. Just a thought.....

I do have to confess that I have an ulterior motive for trying to thin out my garden. DH says I have too many and if I want more flowers I have to make room for them...no more digging up random sections of the yard and declaring them my territory. Yeesh...you'd think I had a flower addiction or something.

Hello everybody! I just found this thread and managed to read the first 20+ pages before I had to skip to the end here at page 810. As I grow older, my attention span seems to grow shorter.

As for my qualifications -- I can reminisce about the entire decade of the 70's and anything after that. I don't think of myself as old although chronologically I guess I am, but heck, I'm still younger than dirt AND I'm 15 years younger than my DH so I always get a kick out of that. So, does that get me entry into this happy little group? I hope so because, like another BYC member posted much earlier in this thread, I'm allergic to children. Having to wade through their posts containing what passes for their idea of English is exasperating. It's also a bit frightening to be reminded that they'll be running things (or trying to) in a few years. Sheesh!

I'm in the tricities area. In between Greeneville and Jonesborough. North East Tennessee.

But I was born and raised in Wetumpka, Alabama!
