That is so sad!The day my birds got attacked I was walking around trying to see what all I lost. And what kills me is I spent so much time trying to get my pairs together for some breeding to try to sell the eggs here and there. I lost all 5 of the welsummer pullets and still have my wellsummer rooster. I lost my light brahma pullet and still have the roo. I had 15 laying hens to keep my customers in eggs. I still have a 3 buff orp pullets and 3 buff orp roos. And 4 of my blue andalusians. And I still have all my turkey. I guess someone had other plans for me anyways.... Now trying to figure out what to do with all these extra roos?![]()
This chart shows what we have now. Notice the dusk and dawn times. My chickens are out at those time.Alright, I've got a question for y'all...
What time is dark for you? My biddies are in bed by 4:20 PM now. It's pitch dark by 5. In another month it will be dark when I leave work (about 3:30 PM) and when I go in. Last night I thought it had to be bedtime, it had been dark for so long. It wasn't even 7 PM.
