The Old Folks Home

I am giving Bernie the Filipino Farm Phenom and Analou, Bernie's wife and farm finance fudiciary tshirts for christmas

All the workers will get one.

Analou will also get a smart phone so she can use whatsapp to text me and forward pics to me. If you go to one corner of the farm, stand with one foot of the ground and your head twisted, you can 2 bars of 3G.

All workers also get a 13th month pay at Christmas by law.

You should try the old trick of sticking out the tongue and crossing the eyes!!

Came on to share a photo..one of our Grandaughters can't put our cream pup down..little Goldendoodle pup. Getting big. They bark now. Getting teeth now. They can see and hear now. They really have the pee pee job down.
May as well show you one of the black ones..shows some of the wave going on here.

Oh the cuteness!!!!

here is my cute contribution

ANd more and more and more cutenessssssss! ( I do like piggies!!)

Oz the only thing that would make that cuter is to have the kids and the pigs in the same picture.

I have finally finished the quilt that my sister dragged me into making online with my niece (we shared fabric to make the same quilt). My sister didn't help me too much (her schedule is completely the opposite of mine) and she ended up mostly making my niece's quilt for her (my niece did help pin some stuff and cut some stuff) so even though my niece's looks so much better, I consider myself having won for not cheating.

I absolutely abhor the fabric (with the exception of the cute little birds on a wire), and the entire experience wasn't quite describable as nirvana, but it is DONE.

Now, I get to gift it next week to a little girl, who can repay me by expulsing bodily fluids onto it. (Have I mentioned how much I hate this quilt and how much I can't wait for the little girl to abuse it like it has abused me for the past 10 weeks?)

DONE! DONE! (And I just bought fabric to do another quilt... my choice of fabric this time. I must be crazy to be trying this again).
Nice workmanship ( or workWOmanship!) --looks like you ARE ready for your next quilt. What colors did you pick for the second quilt??

I'm still amazed at the awesome design, Oz. THe staff will be thrilled to wear these professionally designed T- shirts. Along with the extra bonus pay, of course. (grin)

I hear ya! We have a good signal with our current carrier, but the one before was pitiful. We had 2 places on our 7 acres where you could get a reliable signal; if I got a call when anywhere else, I would run as fast as I could to be in one of them (part of the driveway,or a dirt road at the very back of the property) before I answered the phone. If I was in the house, calls had to be brief and to the point, because the call could get dropped at any time. At the farm where my horses are kept, I had to walk outside of the barn to make or take a call; the barn itself was a "dead zone" where my phone might not even ring.

this 3G thing is very new. the nearest 3G tower is 20km away but the signal skips accross the bay from Kabankalan. its very exciting as it will revolutionize our communication.

If we can get the signal like that at the house I can set up a security cam system with live feeds!

HAPPY LOUSY WEATHER SUNDAY EVERYONE! :caf

Hope I find you all safe and warm. Snow not starting here till later in the day. They revised the track and we will get some but nothing like you folks to the south and east. Are you New Englanders still with us?

Wow, can I relate to the cellphone thing! I love it when the grandkids visit and hang off the backporch with their arms outstretched trying to get bars :lau. You know when the ATT commercial shows their map and says they have 99% of the country covered? Guess who's part of the 1%??? Aren't we special.
We both have those pay as you go cellphones for when we are in the car. Most of the area is a dead zone but we hope they will work in an emergency and of course they work fine in town :th

Curled up with my fresh cuppa and my blanket trying to get up the energy to go check on the girls.
Yaawwnn! Are you ready for some football??? Sounds like it's going to be fun watching the Packers "Snow Bowl" this afternoon. :D
