Thank you Wisher for your Chrismas wish for us!

One of my chickens granted a wish for me, a first egg!

She was clucking and looking for a good place to lay an egg, so she settled in under the BBQ



Later I found her first egg, in front of the BBQ



She is a Pinta Pinta(Asturian Paint)

I got a Christmas surprise from a pullet today too! From a red sex link. Didn't expect her to lay for at least two more weeks..that's ok! I'll take it! It looks very similar to yours. Same shape, maybe a bit more brown.
That is a very very pretty little girl. Love her.

Pita Pintas are rare in the US. They are Spanish chickens from Northern Spain called Asturia. Mine came from @Meg2000000

aww. I love this old doggy. Great Dane? I have a friend that is getting a Great Dane pup soon.

Yes. Great Dane - and almost 10 years old. She's my biggest baby.

Merry Christmas everyone. We just finished up here. The kids are running around like they've had to much coffee, squealing and such.So much for a quiet day of relaxing, oh well. Lots of fun though. Santa brought me an auto chicken door.I hope you all have a great day.

I love the squealing. Maddy got just about everything she asked for (danged commercials). I got a new heavy duty waterhose and a shiny new rake. DH also got me a new gnome for the garden. I'm gonna have to start naming them. Dinner was yummy and ther was basketball all day. Spurs lost, though.

Hope everyone else had as great a Christmas as I did.

She's pretty. My little leghorn Dora finally started laying again. Her molt was really bad this year and she stopped laying for four months. Now she's working her way back up the pecking order. I had five eggs today from my five sweet girls.

She is a really old Great Dane. Maybe a hundred in Great Dane years. They are my favorite breed of dog

Hagar3 I was thinking the same thing about the Great Dane, isn't their average life span about 7 years? Must be doing something right!

Ron I really enjoyed watching your Pinta Pintas grow up and go from white with a few black flecks to balck with white spots LOL

Merry (belated) Christmas !!!..to those who celebrate it! We don't here...but I got my fist blue eggs....Dec 23rd and 25th!! ((happy dance)) I am tickled! Next month......hopefully an olive!!
