My oldest daughter was born at New Hanover Regional. She was a premi by 10 weeks so Onslow sent us down there. That was in 96 though.

My sister lived in Monkey Junction for years until the Army moved them. Her Hubby is a recruiter.

what is it they say, six degrees of seperation??

Bunny lady-- you have me curious-- how do I find a rabbit show in my area? What the key words to google??
Go to the American Rabbit Breeders' Association (ARBA) website, and hover over the tab that says, "member resources." A drop down menu will appear; one of the choices is "shows." One of the choices there is "show search." Select your state, say, and it will list upcoming shows. They are pretty good about updating it, but occasionally a sanction request gets processed too late to get entered.

Quote: We have the one reabbit that was bought as a sire for meat rabbits but that is as far as that project got. When winter set in , we moved the rabbit into the house, putting the cage in the brooder box. One day I let him out, and well . . . . he is right at home hopping around the house!! Totally house broken, to my udder amazement!! Never a pellet anywhere. I purposely got a white with red eyes so I wouldn't mind so much doing in an ugly rabbit, but I just can't do it. I'm such a whuuze.

It's funny, some people absolutely adore the look of the Ruby-eyed White rabbits, and others really don't like it. For me, those pink eyes always look like "nobody home," but I have learned to look beyond that. Kind of like what they say, "a good horse is never a bad color;" some of my favorite rabbits wound up being ones that had pink eyes.
