The Old Folks Home

Just enjoying a big of sunshine..NOT. We woke up to around 4 inches of snow, and it's still snowing. At least this little guy is getting some sun, best be careful though, he might turn himself into some bacon...because he's baken.

She's a savvy traveler. Rather than enjoying the Chinese new year festivities(a 3 day festival) tonight, she's going to bed to adjust her internal clock. Tomorrow she'll celebrate the CNY and then leave Bangkok on Saturday to avoid the government protests on election day, which is Sunday.

She may even head straight for Laos hoping it somewhat blows over.

I rarely worry about her except when she's on the highway where I know she always follows too close.
She's planning on renting a motorcycle while there so that may elevate the heart rate.

Hope the rain keeps coming for all needing it.

DH raised rabbits when he was young. They were flop ears not for eating but their pellets make for great fertilizer. He won a plant growing competition in school using it.

Love the pig.....Hope the snow stopped and PLEASE don't send it our way.

Best wishes on egg hatches. We put 14 in bator earlier in the month and so far two Rhodebars have hatched. Still waiting on the rest. DH says he is still hearing peeps but no external pips to be seen. Really need/want more female Rhodebars. So far it is 50/50. We already have two teenage male Rhodebars. They will have to do some waiting for the girl.

I had flop ears and dwarfs about 15 years ago for my girls. My DH said he would like to raise some. So I have been looking up info online trying to find out what we need to be building and doing. lol
Best of luck to you pickitfarm on your hatch.

I got a pair of French lops a few weeks ago and so far I would highly recommend them. Great personalities, VERY layed back attitudes. Not as high strung as the dwarf breeds I had in the past. We have had sub 0 every night for the last week and all they needed was a bit more bedding to snuggle in. The only down side is space, my buck is about 20 lb so standard caging doesn't work. Mine free roam the chicken coup or (like now) in bad weather they stay in a 10x10 dog kennel.

Quote: My first house had cloth-wrapped wiring. Built in 1939. It was small and in the city, but some days I still miss it, fire hazards and all :)

It's raining!!

OMG I want that piggie!!! Oh - and great pun :)

My daughter just arrived at BKK about 40 minutes ago. It's close to midnight there, 77 F right now and up to 89 tomorrow. Sigh!
Whew! Did you hear that collective sigh of relief across the country on behalf of you and your daughter??
