Kidney infection? I hope they are ok!

I put the game cam in the bathroom to find out that it was my female cat. She's still using the sink, but right now that's actually good so I can monitor her blood loss. Never thought I'd be encouraging the cat to pee in the sink.

The blood seems to be reducing in quantity. The vet treated them both just to be safe (again last night we could only guess which one it was).

Oh bummer, here's hoping all gets well again. If you ever watch My Cat From Hell on Animal Planet you know, cats really don't urinate out of the litter box for spite, there is just about always some problem that needs to be identified and resolved - often it's pain following declawing or some other injury that left the cat with sensitive paws. Fingers crossed the diagnosis is made and the prognosis is good.

There are lots of things I'll tolerate but any animal peeing in the house is a no no around here.

the last cat that peed outside the litterbox very quickly became a barn cat. I actually think she likes the barn better than the house. Seems happier.

SCG hope your cat is doing better.

I know what it's like. When I raised dogs , one would always come down with an ailment that the vet "had never seen before." That usually meant the dog would get well on his own but, I'd still have a hefty bill for confusing the vet.

People said I was imaging things because I watched them too closely. That's right, I noticed when Dee Dee's muzzle swelled up, huge- she seemed fine otherwise but.... the vet said either she snuffed up something that didn't belong in her nose or it was just an allergy. Close enough right.?

Multiply that by several dogs and puppies and the vet should have installed a revolving door for us.

LOL I can relate - had a Whippet with a giant bubble that turned out to be a brown recluse bite which fortunately the vet DID recognize - barely had enough skin to stitch back together, and when it healed, because it was a brindle, you couldn't even see the scar!

Today I had a lesson in yokes

Yes yokes - not yolks. I am talking the device that attaches to a beast of burden to disperse the load they are pulling

There are two types in the Phils (both withers yokes) that water buffalo use - one for plowing and a different design for carts.

As it is time to get motza used to a load, she is getting one of each.

Hopefully we'll get to see pictures when she is hooked up??

My chickens are so sick of scratch. "Whaaa??!!..scratch AGAIN!!..for supper!!??"

They want warm weather and green stuff and bugs, frogs and lizards.
Looks like I have 2 roosters with minor frost bite. The other 3....so far so good.
Make them some fodder. It's at least green, and they love it..and I love the taste, tastes like green peas..to me.
Here's some of mine I've done.
This is just a few days out. I use red wheat. Soak it over night, spread it thinly over the bottom of the plastic container that has holes in the bottom for drainage, then I spray rinse it daily, and use a squirt bottle to mist it during the day.

SCG, sure hope your kitty will be ok. Is it a male by chance? They tend to get the infections more than the females. Also, certain cat foods have more ash in them..not good for the kitty's kidneys. Your vet may have you put your cat on a different diet. Good luck!

I have some good news..and Areille will know that it is something we've been waiting to hear.

We had a daughter show up a couple of weeks ago during the evening with some really sad news. That she has cancer. Now how in the world can that turn into good news? Well, it was stage 2 Melanoma..first they found it was cancer after cutting the mole out. Then they had to cut a big size piece of area with the lymph nodes to make sure that it hadn't spread there. If so, she would need Chemo. The test results are back, and there was no sign of it in the lymph nodes! That's the good news! She has two more that look like the one they removed, so, she will have those removed and tested also. She had come by to tell us the news about her, but the dr. highly suggested that everyone in the family go be seen and checked. One son had one taken off of his face. No news yet from that one. Our son in GA. has two that he was actually watching..because they were changing. He is going in on the 3rd to have them looked at. This can be a genetic thing, not just a .. too long in the sun thing. All of the kids are going in..My DH is going in on the 13th. I've been watching a couple on his back.
Check for moles, you never know, but it's one of those cancers, if you catch it early enough, you should be fine! Thank the Lord!
