The Old Folks Home

Okay, SCG, here're your pics of the flowerbed by my backdoor. The other bed was rearranged by my lab last night, apparently before it started raining. He will be getting a new battery in his invisable-fence collar tomorrow.

SCG, sounds like you may need to build a guest haus for visiting Old Folks next.

We have plenty of room here for old friends. You have to be able to navigate stairs, though.

Thanks for the pictures, Wisher. I miss seeing grass. Love the turtle. FEAR THE TURTLE (I'm a Maryland grad)

Can anyone please tell me what kind of rooster this is? I think he is a bantam with feathered feet and no tail.

I bought my friends flock as they had quit laying and that way she could go get some young birds. And I just took all she had and this small rooster was in her pen. lol

Looks like he could be a Bantam Cochin. or maybe a cross. Bantam Cochins have soft tail feathers, so they wind up with a "cushion" rather like that of a Silkie. A good Cochin has lots of feathers on its feet, and is very fluffy - looked at from above, they look as round as a dinner plate.
