The Old Folks Home

Do gooseberries have a thin skin like a grape or thick like a muscadine? I am trying to stock up on some berry plants this year and I don't know much about most of the berry plants. I have some blueberry cuttings coming and we have blackberries, I have just planted some red raspberries. I do not care for muscadines the skin is so thick, however my kids love them and they hold up well to just throw in the freezer and eat as you want.

When they're green and unripe they're rock hard. When they're green and tart they have a little give when squeezed. When they're red and ripe they're quite soft and thin-skinned...like a very ripe blueberry kind of. Berry size is like blueberries running from small to quite large.

The bushes look kind of like an oaky shrub.

Thank you Peep show. I appreciate your help very much. I am looking into ordering some from ISONS now and some boysenberries. They are only 4.85 each! :)

Nice picture but where are the life jackets?

We went on quite a rant about sunscreen, but do you know how many people drown each year?
A Big X's 2! It never happens to you!

Beautiful to look out at that water..oh man I miss it. It's been yrs., but when I see the ocean like that, I miss it! Beautiful.

our competition.
Look closely ron..no life jackets here either! What? Guess they are good swimmers. Out on these boats, they are out for the sun and fun. Maybe they wear them while they are driving fast? Just not while lounging around.
