The Old Folks Home

They do not like them at first. They get used to them quickly though.

I put saddles on some of my hens. It looked like a rodeo. All of the bucking trying to get rid of those saddles.

Are there seeds coated with Nicaloids in your area? Are all your plants grown from seeds free of it?

Birds lose fertility when exposed to even little bits of it.

No I don't think so, the bees are doing fine. However, I did treat the birds with Frontline and I've read that it can alter fertility. However, he had bad fertility prior to treating them, and watching him "with the ladies" makes me realize his fertility problems stem from his own lack of coordination and understanding of anatomy.

SCG does anyone around there hunt wild hog? Ask around some people love the hunt but won't eat the meat! I have found a couple here that love the hunt but don't eat the meat. They told me I could get some! Yummy! Then it will be time for a pig pickin party!

Nope, they aren't this far north. Kinda too bad, I'd hit that. I may go hunting this year with BF, or without him, and give us double the chances for a deer. We both lost on the yearly moose permit, so we'll keep trying. I'd love to get a bear.

Here is a picture....

I felt her all over, and it almost feels as if her hip bones are 'off' .... Or maybe the top of the one leg bone came out of the socket, or the leg bone broke near the top.... Or 'something'.

Not sure..... Except she did NOT cry when I felt all over, and she can still run.

back injury? specifically nerve maybe? chicks at that age, at least any of mine, have been known to try some pretty crazy aerobatics, especially if startled.

I am thinking it must have been something like that.... They do like flying about....

My Pita Pinta took a bit to get that all figured out too. He is doing great now though!

The mottled chicks are pita pintas. The other two are CCL X Crele Pene Olive Eggers!
