Ron, I did notice a lot of old folks at my 50th High School reunion in June. I am sure some of them were from the class of 54. I know that most oof them were older than I am.

ROFLMBO I was just telling my husband today that sometimes when I look in the mirror I am startled by that old, ugly woman looking back at me. We, several of us in this thread, must be on the same wavelength today.

Thank you Chickadoodles! would be nice but unlikely. I'm already taking so many vitamins and minerals (have been for years to offset the damage etc. from the drugs I have to take for the CML) that I doubt they could come up with a new one!

Now it's wait for the results

but honestly I'm not expecting them to find anything which I am not sure is a good thing because the other options aren't that great. Oh well, no matter what I still have my chickie chatters

Nice paint job Alaskan!!!

but then again in our latitude, any paint job is a good one!

Don't I know it. I was standing in front of the concession stand and I could see everyone in line in the mirror. I couldn't find me - no kidding. So I counted people and discovered an old,old woman was standing in my place. Not only that, she was very short. I know I am very short but, not THAT much shorter than average people.

That really shook me. I think if people didn't have mirrors they would be much happier. The image we carry of ourselves, in our mind, is always some other point in time. My image is not of a 20 something hottie, just a pleasant face & smile minus some crows feet and wrinkles.

Oh yes, my memories of my grandmother were always of her standing by the window, holding a mirror and tweezing out 'chin sprouts.' Then my mother doing the same but, she was yanking off hot wax she had applied.

I don't know how long I've been doing it because it started out with a stray eyebrow obsession and ventured downward when I noticed some long, dark billy goat hairs around my chin.

That is my first ritual of the day - tweeze out any new growth. They not only come back overnight - but later in the afternoon. Sometimes I get owies because I am trying to pull out little dots that haven't emerged from the skin yet. I AM not nuts, I am fastidious and so are all the women who partake of this.
