The Old Folks Home

I just looked it up - the Cobb 500 is a trademarked broiler breed. They look a lot like the CX's because that's the kind of bird they are.

Yeah, they are the parent stock. They don't get as beefy or grown as quick as when these chicks are bred to the other side of the parent breeds. I don't know. It's a crap shoot. We'll find out how big they will get. I do know that these lay extra large light brown eggs, so I'm happy. I got my first egg. They had 3/4" ice on their water. November in Louisiana? Gonna be a cooold winter.

They are a hybrid cross and then crossed with the other parent which is also a hybrid cross.

All of the breeds that go into this are secret!
 
Oz, I've got a Led Lenser P7, it gives out 220 lumens, enough to light them up fine. But they're quite dark.

CC, our blue eggs we're really easy to see, those were no problem.
