I once tried to dry some wet wood.... but putting it on top of the wood stove

my brilliance astounds.
My husband has done this dozens of times on one of the woodstoves in the greenhouse. One time, the conflagration was so intense, it melted a hole in the wall.

Turkey, and dressing in the oven, green bean casserole ready to go, will start peeling potatoes in a few minutes. DH worked on Thanksgiving, so we're having ours today. I may have to chain him to the wall to keep him out of the food until it's ready. LOL!

I once knew some car thieves.

They even stole/drained all the fluids. They would refill the brake system with water and it would work just enough to be able to push the car a few blocks and stop the stripped chassis.

My dad once saw a woman pour water into the brake fluid filler cap. I hope she took him seriously when he said that she should take it to a garage immediately.

My dad once watched a woman pull up to the gas station with her Brand new Mercedes... Big shiny rings on her hands. then delicately lift the gas nozzle and fill-er-up... Only problem was it was a diesel Mercedes.... He said it made it almost to the road before the engine blew....
She was un hurt thank goodness....

This was before Cell phones.

I .remember as a child, my father filling the tank with diesel instead of gas. I don't remember what he did. Don't remember him draining it out anywhere and we did get home that nite.
