We were leaving a friends cottage once, when we got to the cars, there were 4 elks (what the heck is the plural of moose by the way?) there. That was a bit scary, those things can kill you. Luckily they retreated. They might not get as big as their Alaskan relatives here, but they're still plenty big,

@sunflour your in Macon? Dose the hockey team the "Macon woopie" still exist?
The Macon Whoope's have been gone for many years. There was second version here only for a short time. The city is wanting to get another hockey team, but Macon's population has not supported any local team sports for many years. We have had at least 3 different baseball farm teams that left as well.

We still have the second oldest minor league baseball stadium in the Country, Luther Williams Field, and have had several movies filmed here because it still has the nostalgic appeal- was built 1929.
