I think a nice, healthy case of diarrhea might be in store for you in-law haters. Get some Haribo Sugar Free Gummy Bears (or other such sugar free snack) and imbibe. You're welcome for the amazing advice.

Not sure if I want to go there..... and anyway, the in-laws are coming to --MY-- house for Christmas!!!

And, there is a constant avalanche of dirty clothes in my house..... not sure why actually..... since none of us put on clean clothes every day. We are a household of clothing 'recyclers'. But.... the drier is starting to loose its ability. I am supposed to fix it..... hummmmmmmmmmmmmm

Things are going to get scary fast.

first, @Cynthia12 super cute!!! Gotta love chicks.

First thing is to follow the lint.... There could be a lint plug somewhere.... I have a HUGE lint trap its got to be at least two feet long and about a foot wide. and IT GETS full. I am one to wear clothes for many more than one dance.... So when they get washed they make up time making lint.

The other place is where the vent exits the house.... If that is blocked by anything it will make drying "inefficient"... You can get blockages in the back o fthe dryer too.

With the amount of kids you guys have I am surprised you dont have two washers and two dryers.... LOL. Or at least Commercial sized ones.

I think a nice package of Haribo Sugar Free Gummy Bears for the ride home is just what they need.

BC (before chickens) I could get away with a pair of jeans for a few days. Now, however, it seems like I always get some kind of feces smeared on my pants. I don't dare rewear.

LOL Waaayyy back when I used to ride my horse bareback.... I went to work with bareback stains on the seat and inside thighs of my pants.... Nooo one said anything... but when i realized I had done it I made an excuse to go home for lunch....

I recycle my clothes, unless I'm shoveling snow in winter, I don't perspire - I give my clothes the sniff test, if it passes I keep wearing it. When I'm on the senior bus I have a coat on so no one knows what top I'm wearing.. They wouldn't notice anyway. I did notice our male driver last week had the same shirt on five days in a row, couldn't tell about the jeans, jeans. look like jeans.

I have this little pullet that is still too small to join the flock and lives still inside the house so I put her on my shoulder every time I go outside. I have 2 heavy shirts I call my "chicken jackets" because they invariably have more than one poop trail down the back. I change them out every couple of days, but today I got baptized in cecal poo and dumped her and shirt off real quick. Poor thing, she didn't understand and flew back up. She's afraid of the big girls that chase her. People come to see me and I always have to apologize for my "chicken clothes".

I know when you tell me I will feel stupid, but what is NPIP? THX.
Cynthia, gorgeous babies!

If I am not mistaken its National Poultry Impovement Program.... To get Certified your flock has to pass a series of blood tests looking for TB and a few others. Each program is different depending on what state you are in. There may be diseases local to a certain area they want to make sure are excluded.

You have to be NPIP certified in order to sell eggs chicks or chickens outside of your state.

I believe there is a different program per state if you are selling eggs for consumption. I checked into getting a Shell Egg permitt sometime ago.... But in California its only required if you want to sell someplace like a swap meet....

Since I am planning on going through a CoOp of sorts for marketing I will research that later on.... I want to get involved with the localvore movement here in San Diego County.
