I use water wigglers at the level of eggs to test and fine tune bators as its really the internal egg temp that is most important.

I aim for a temp of 99.5F

Once the wiggler temp is stable, I finish messing with thermostat, regardless of temp readings on thermostat. - normally my digital thermostats will turn on at 99.3 and off at 99.8. The swing in temp is slightly higher as it takes a moment for heater to warm up cool down.

The wiggler's still at 96 degrees... the bottom of the styrobator is 101. Not sure what to do so I just set the eggs, anyway. 41 total.

Have never had the inclination to eat guinea pigs or squirrels but, I would imagine it would take few to feed a family for dinner.

This recipe calls for 3 squirrels plus veggies to serve 4. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Slow-C...h&event10=1&e7=Home Page&soid=sr_results_p1i5
