X2 on the spelling... I meant how does the meat taste. Although the eggs sound amazing I want to know if I can eat the birdies... I know I can eat them but do they taste good... I'm sure they do... Ignore me...

i raised quail this past spring, when they got old enough, they were the jumbo's, we processed them, ate some that day and and put the rest into the freezer to enjoy later, we love them fried up

baking with quail eggs is good also.. my caretaker at my House in maryland has the quail there.. thats all she eats egg wise anymore..

I have also heard you shouldt keep turkeys in with chickens either.... After I had had turkeys in with chickens over a year....

There seems to be some diseases they are supposed to give each other...

Yeah, my father hatched out a whole bunch of wild turkeys under his chickens. The chickens raised them until they were a couple months old or so and then all died. He never knew why.
