Who's coming for dinner?
What are ya'll doing for super bowl?

My son is bringing a few friends over, including a Malaysian girl that's in a couple of his stats classes. Other than that, probably just the wife and I watching it on her big screen.

ETA
Wife has lamb stew in the crock pot. She took the dog for grooming and to have lunch with daughter.

The report for California is dismal. We had the driest January since the 1976 drought. The snow pack is 25% of Normal.

We have a chance of rain on Friday so Go Rain!

We are in a bad situation right now. Had low snow accumulation in the mountains last yr..we need that to drain down to our valley floors and into lakes and dams for our water use. Just rain doesn't cut it for us. We are now in the 40's in the day, going up into the 50's this coming week..and one day is going to be 60! What? Has to be a record for us. This is so weird..if it keeps up, we will not have had a real winter. And, I know what we will be hearing. We will be .. asked at first, to be careful with water usage. Then, if it's real bad, we will be told how to use it. Getting scary. Tooo warm for Jan. and now Feb. March is when it starts warming up around here. We may get rain, but again, need it on the mountains so the reservoirs and lakes can catch it.

Last summer we were under a voluntary 20% water reduction order and not allowed to water our lawns more than two days a week. We were restricted on times to water too--now watering form 5 to 9 in the morning or 5 to 9 at night.

Next summer may be worse for us.

The chick is a splash Swedish Isbar. She's about a week old.

We wrapped her hock really tight in vet wrap a couple hours ago, and I've been holding her since. I noticed her foot was swelling about 10 minutes ago so we unwrapped it.

The tendon had slipped back, anyway.

BF also built a chick chair but she struggled epically and was going to hurt herself so that was also canned.

Cyn, sounds scary. Hope you get a good, wet spring.

CC, I will continue learning about the sport that is American Football together with the better half. The kitchen is stocked with all things unhealthy. I doubt Karin is going to stay awake until kick off. The scheduling of the game is very inconsiderate of us Europeans

The game starts at 0130am our time.

Nah, takes the fun out of it. I hate watching recorded games, I end up seeing the result somewhere anyway. I'll watch it live, although if the game is as crappy as last year, I will give up after half time.
