We had a bunch of ginorourmos wasps that looked like yellow jackets on steroids flying in and out of a crack next a window in our back room. I climbed on top of our van and sprayed wasp spray into the crack, good thing it was one of the ones that spray like ten feet. It was a battle for a while but after soaking the ones flying out there must have been fifty coming at me and I ran! The wall sounded like there was hundreds of them in it and they were getting into the house so we bug bombed the room and left for the day. I thought they had to be killer bees, but they were actually not very agresive so we think they might have been European Wasps, they were two and a half inches long. I sealed the window up with spray foam that bugs and mice won't chew through, has something in it they don't like, costs more but I didn't care lol. And then calked it.

I am so excited! I have 22 eggs in my bator and 2 hens are hiding eggs from me and so is my duck. I'm scared they will freeze this week when that storm comes on Thurs. Should I bring in my eggs or leave them. My hen bit me today when I found them. lol she wants to hatch them. I still have 2 hens holding out for warmer weather to start laying. But hopefully soon.

You're afraid the eggs will freeze? I have found most of my eggs don't freeze and crack until it gets about 0F. If they're under momma, they're fine, as long as she's protected.

I hatched my first turkey just now! So excited after waiting so long for some hens then eggs!

She laid the eggs in there and covered them up because before the last freeze I stole her clutch of 11 eggs and put them in the bator. She was not happy with me and hid these. Thanks everyone for all the congrats! Diva I did have a bunch of Chantecler chicks for tutors but our son and dil took them home. But my first Buckeye chick did also hatch yesterday. and the next several days I will have more hatching.
