Frostbite. Especially his wattles. One is torn open, I think from him trying to scratch it because I found no other wounds. His girls love him, Bama, he's my alpha.

I guess when hens don't have a roo there is a boss hen. I remember when I was about eight my dad took a young RIR cockerel over to a friends house that wanted a roo and hadn't had one in a couple years. They threw him in the coop and I almost cried, a big buff hen beat the snot out of him, but he kept trying to best her, she fought like the meanest roo I ever saw. Eventually she gave up, and I'm not going to say what he did to her next....

Yep he got down on 1 knee and proposed. Seen it happen in our flock too. Those darned romantic roos.
