Had a cricket in our house one night, couldn't sleep with that thing chirping! Took a couple hours to find it, it would only chirp once in awhile, drove me nuts!

Hats off to the Afghani team for qualifying.

The ICB is hoping that the US may qualify in the next 8 years. With its population advantage over most countries they should be able to field a team - most likely it will be immigrant based.

Basically cricket is big in countries that were part of the British colonies - well except Canada. The Caribbean Islands play under one team - the West Indies. They were a huge force in the 80s but the lure of money in baseball has shifted focus.

I have that problem with smoke detectors and about to die batteries!!

I thought this was the Old Folks Home. Fifty is barely weaned.

I have never watched cricket live. Here we have 5yr olds playing baseball, football, softball, basketball, volleyball, tennis, and soccer. That may just be in my neck of the woods Idk. Cricket isnt popular here
