The Old Folks Home

I believe our artic weather is gone, was below zero for a couple months, 40s during the day now feels like summer! We've had snow storms before all the way to the end of April. Could be 70 and sunny one week and then three feet of snow the next, usually doesn't last long though.

How many eggs can I fit under a broody LF brahma?

Lol. Its a legit question. I have given up on my crapbator. I have a brahma acting pretty broody. Ive never hatched with a broody before.
The recommendation is to wait for a full week or so of sitting before putting fertile eggs under her. An LF Brahma should be able to cover 12 to 15 eggs but it is best to start small to see how she does with them.

Some Broody hens are worse than your incubator. Some will hatch them fine and then freak and kill them--or abandon them. Others will sit on the eggs for a week and then jump up and stop being broody.

I hope your hen is a good one!
