Olivia is the name of a cartoon my girls watch, I like the name. Cute baby too. I love babies, the wife says after five were done! :-(
Guess I'll havto wait for grandbabies.
Lol, my parents named me after my Great Grandfather, Leslie, not very common for a boys name anymore, grew up like Johnny Cash 'boy named sue' doesn't bother me anymore Lol, everyone calls me Les and thinks its Lester if they don't know, I think that's worse, but I don't correct them. When we had our last one I jokingly told the wife if it's a girl we can name it Leslie, if it's a boy Leslie Jr. It ended up being our first and only boy and she was going to name him after me, she said I said so, hell no! I wouldn't curse him with that name!

my dad had his name changed officially to Lucia. His dads name... But because his birth name was Clyde...

His sisters all called him Little Brother or L.B. for short.... Everyone after that called him LB. So he figured he'd change his name to match the initials... to Lucia Bryon....

funny thing is When I started highschool every one in the family still called him LB.... but the guys he worked with called him Lou.

I know a couple female Jody's, and a couple males.
I saw on our seniority list at work there was a new employee named Ashley, I wondered who she was, he laughed when I told him. He said his parents named him after a character on 'Gone with the wind'. We exchanged awful growing up stories, and laughed because neither of us cared anymore.
When I got home I looked it up cause I couldn't remember the character.
Turns out Ashley was played by actor Leslie Howard, weird! Lol.

Actually her middle names are after me and my mom. Ellen is my middle name and Elizabeth is my mother's first name. I am incredibly honored that she did that.

BTW this is what you make when you are waiting 36 hours to hear your grandchild made it into the world safe and sound


I didn't make all of it this weekend, just the table runner and finished up binding the place mats.

chica thank you! Beercan yes I have heard of Olivia the pig. In fact I found a really whimsical wall hanging made out of Olivia the pig fabric. I set my heart to making it before I found out that the fabric is no longer in print so is only sold on secondary markets and is EXPENSIVE. I have warned my DD that if she gets tired of the wall hangings, she is to put them away because it would kill me to hear that she threw them away.
