I was looking at old pics and reading articles online from a town/small city near us. I found this ad interesting, 125 years ago, 1890 they got $2.50 for 13 hatching eggs, seems a little steep, but maybe brownleghorns and wyndottes were super rare back then. Do any of you remember them being rare back then?

Yep, I remember back then

The eggs were that expensive because pure bred breeds that had excellent production were quite rare.

I took my wifes elderly aunt and uncle out to a buffet last week. The waitress asked if we were all senior citizens.

It hurt.

That is why most places make you ask for the senior discount
