Hey Diva, Jelly rolls are fun and easy to use and lot's of fabric for cute little crafts!

It's rolls of fabric that are cut into abt. 2 1/2 inch pieces that are the 45". And they roll lot's of different pieces together so you get a great variety of colors and patterns that all go together.

Shhhh don't tell her about layer cakes. I think everyone sewing must be hungry.

I have to admit sewing people tend to also have a sense of humor once they've gotten the hunger thing figured out. I have quite a few sewing books with risque names, mostly centering around the quilts you make out of the strips that are found in the jelly rolls.
