"Termination dust" - good term for the 'killer of summer'. I am facing my 75 th year of 'termination dust'. Sort of facing double termination, eh?

Glad to see you're still around Sourland.
I think I'm in more trouble for coming to your aid.

I probably shouldn't waste time here but I got half of my chicken chores done by sunup today.

No Termination dust here!

Just smoke from fires....We lost millions of trees to fire, bark beetles and etc. because of the 4th year of drought.

It is much cooler today though.

Wow, super behind.
Friendship bread is super yummy, just like zucchini or banana bread. Much easier to make when you are given the starter from a friend. Buddy's dad used to make it all the time and give starter to friends. Sour rye that my father in law makes also requires a starter he makes. He makes a sour onion rye that is my favorite, but he sells most of it when he makes it so I rarely get a loaf.

'Termination dust.' Lol.
Ours is our county fair two weeks ago. Usually gets cold the next week. Not this year, been in the 80s and going to stay there awhile.
I just planted a bunch of spinach and kale again to share with the chickens.
Pickled fifteen gallons of pickles, so glad the cucumbers are done. But I'll miss fresh cucumber sandwiches. Cabbage is getting close, I'll be stuffing crocks for sauerkraut soon, with extra cabbage for the chickens for winter.
