The Old Folks Home

Many swear the moth balls will deter rats, but I can't personally vouch for that yet. I can only say that I've had no rats, or snakes since I put them out, but it's only been a few days now. I'll let you know more after I've been using them for awhile.

You're still here Bama

More talk about donuts (and coffee) and I just sat down here with a bowl full of (a couple of) peaches sliced up. Love peaches, but the donuts sound so alluring. Not going to work, and sleeping in till my body says "get up" sure is an agreeable change

The animals will get used to being fed a little later

The dogs seem to be enjoying the additional company and expanded "freedom" (to run in and out) as well. Hey Bama; how do you avoid getting a persecution complex?

IMHO, the best way to deter vermin is "feed control" and being careful to not make feed available to the rodents. No food, no rodents.

I haven't had cotton candy in 30 years or so. and I don't eat a lot of fruit (trying to change that). But when I do eat fruit I prefer "sweet" fruit so cotton candy grapes might be right up my alley

Hope y'all have a great day!

You guys just reminded, as I was leaving the grocery store, I saw a sign that said "cotton candy grapes." I was so astounded I went over and took one and savored it slowly - it just tasted like a grape and not one of the real sweet ones. I think people seeing the name conjure up the taste of cotton candy before even eating some grapes.

They also had samples of something (no name) that looked like vanilla ice cream and some chocolate splashed on it. I noticed 2 things about it - it didn't melt no matter how long it sat in the cart and it sure didn't taste like ice cream. I detected a slight ricey taste. Ick, I didn't go back for more.
