DH was so happy that is life long dream was coming true!!
I should have gotten them on earlier, but I had to take a nap I was wore out.

It is also much like Ft. Pickens in Pensacola, FL. Where they held Geronimo and his family as prisoners.

Congratulations on the new toy! We had a moblie home yrs. ago..loved it..and used it just for exactly what you are talking about doing. We went to Lake Powel.. a huge lake that has all kinds of fish in it.
Also loved going to Fish Lake..and a canyon not too far from us here. I miss it.

Well, the local school system activated their alert system to inform us that they have cancelled school for tomorrow. We've had over a foot of rain in the last 72 hours; 6" or so have fallen just since about 3 o'clock. While the resulting "flash floods" may not be as dramatic as in hilly country, it takes a while for that much water to drain away from flat land, and there is a pretty good likelihood of coastal flooding as well. Rather messy, but if that's what it took to keep the hurricane away, I think it was a good deal.
