Just had to pop in and share what I just discovered. Gail Damerow finally updated her "Chicken Health Handbook"!!!!!

It's not technically out yet but you get a good deal if you pre-order on Amazon.

I had one of those times today-- like a classic I Love Lucy Episode--

It started with deciding to level the oven cooktop stove today. I was going to pull it out of the nook it is in but decided that I could get to the adjusting feet from the front with the door off and the drawer out. That seemed to work fine....until the adjusting foot came out!

I then had to pull the oven out, use a little pry bar and put the adjuster back in. I decided that the adjuster was too short in the back because the pergo flooring made too much of a height difference. My answer was to get a piece of wood from the back yard and cut it to put under the adjusters.

Now how to get it back there. I tried from the back but as I was lifting the oven to move it over the board, the top snapped loose from the back! AKK!

I got it back on, pulled the oven out and tried to put the board in from the front--it was too long for that so I had to cut off a couple of inches....Now to get the board under, on my stomach with my head in where the drawer opening is....using a pry bar...trying to push one end at a time onto the board......It worked!

Now to go back to leveling the oven....Where I started an hour ago.....


It did work and now the oven is level!

But I am worn out.
