The Old Folks Home

Got the wood stacked (both indoors and out) plus the beehives ready for winter and it's not even noon yet.

Those of you with bees don't forget the mouseguard, also.

Outdoor wood - 4 slabs of it (next year's warmth, or this years if we have to dig into it)

Indoor wood (this year's warmth).

And Pippy got into the burrs while I was stacking...

Busy day here, planned. The rest of the firewood needs to be moved and restacked (I've got about 3/4 done the last few weeks picking at it for a few hours here and there), got to get the winter stuff on the bees, then head to town to pick up some things I need, bake some bread, vacuum and try to finish the applique work on one quilt and sew the binder down on another.

If I won the lottery I'd hire a person to mow the lawn and weed the gardens on a weekly basis (technically you can't buy time but this is the best way I know how to do that). I have some projects I'd like to get done on the house aesthetic-wise and I'd like a generator - one of the ones that turns on automatically within 5 seconds of a power outage. I have a rolling 5 year plan for the house - to keep things up mostly - seems like we're still always chasing something and don't have time or money to make serious improvements. Having the wood floors redone and the outside repainted are next, provided nothing breaks down (I fully expect the furnace to one of these years).
Wow I hope you get a good chunk of your chore list done. :)

I have the binding on my quilt almost done but likely will finish it tomorrow.

I have also been busy at the machine. I got the train wall hanging done for my BIL and some hexagon table toppers that SCG sent me the directions on how to make. I also have bread in the oven and the house is smelling heavenly.

dsqard sounds like you have also been busy. I like those table toppers and your BIL is going to love that train. :)

I have been sewing, cooking a pork loin and veggies since 11 am and washed a mountain of dishes. Had to clean out the fridge.

And I only have one end left to finish the hand sewing on this quilt and it will be done. :)

Dh mowed the grass around the coop today, and I cleaned the coop(s), all the water, and feed buckets, run(s), and I raked. Dh hauled, and dumped all the stuff I raked up. When we got done it was beautiful. They all like the ramp now, and are using it. It's easy to clean too. Tomorrow I'll get the totes, and turn them into nest boxes.
