I don't know why guineas are like that. Your birds and critters will appreciate your efforts on their behalf.I'm not a fan of grits but I do like steel cut oats.
Spent the last few hours getting the coops ready for winter. I did a 100% change of litter in all the animal houses and even did the windows and screens in the chicken coop. The guineas did not like me coming into their guinea abode to give them a cleaning, and I'm surprised they all survived, the way they were trying to crush each other to get away from me and my Scary Dust Pan of Doom.
It snowed here, but mine needs a good cleaning again. I know what you mean about the birds about killing themselves off while in there cleaning, not so bad when they can be out and about in the yard and can leave the run, but when they can't be out, they are scrambling like little scared chickens.![]()
I been known to look at the pot then discreetly make it disappear in the trash.
