The Old Folks Home

Was it here that someone confessed that their Turkey gravy was equal parts Campells Cream of Mushroom and Cream of chicken soup?

I made it last night and it was Awesome with leftovers... I just seasoned it with the same stuff I used for seasoning the Turkey. Poultry seasoning, Salt, and pepper.

I don't drink coffee, smoke, partake in alcoholic beverages - my religion has nothing to do with it - I just don't like the taste - smell - taste. I am not a devout anything, I eat etc. whatever I wish whether it is allowed or not. I also eat a lot of things that aren't good (healthy) for me. That is part of the joy(?) of being an American. I may raise eyebrows with my culinary desires but, no one will punish me. If my health suffers, it was my choice to pick the wrong foods. I can't blame anyone for the outcome but, myself.

I drink coffee--Up to three cups a day is good for you--this week at least.....

Yes, Deb, that was my confession, with the addition of milk to bring it to the right consistency. Yummy, isn't it? And so much easier than giblet gravy from scratch.

I didnt do the milk I just dribbled chicken stock in. But I have it labled as gravy in the fridge.... Bwhahahahah...

This would be so good for doing pot pies too. Or Al a King.

I actually do a "Chicken Stew" that is really like chicken pot pie without the crust and with dumplings. I know it sounds like I got several dishes confused, and I guess that basically what it is. It is large chunks of chicken, carrots, potatoes, english peas, celery, and that "gravy" with dumplings. Yummy in the winter when it's nasty out.
