How did the civilized parts of the country celebrate the arrival of the summer solstice?

We're not civilized here, but the guineas spent a good portion of the evening on top of the coop, refusing to come down while BF screamed at them while I was at work.

It's less "the guineaS" and more "the guinea" - there's one purple one that has this routine and about 15 minutes before it acknowledges it's bedtime it will fly up on the roof and screech for about 10 minutes. Apparently the Solstice Song was longer and it was up there until 8:47 pm at which point BF began throwing rocks at it.

we actually own a pressure washer that can get so pressurized it etches concrete. I used it yesterday (on a slightly less severe setting) on the outside house wall where the skunk sprayed. Unfortunately it didn't help.

However, this begs the question of how fast one can get a guinea off the roof using it. And whether it requires soap in the dispenser to do so or will just plain water work.
