I figured when I was a little older - In my twenties perhaps, that I would try to rekindle the relationship, but we're just so distant now. I don't hate them, I don't know, they're not a bad person is what I'm trying to say. Just not the warmest.

I disowned my older sister 30 years ago. For all intents and purposes she doesn't exist. I disowned my parents & youngest brother maybe 3 years ago, my dad died 2 years ago, that brother died a year ago. I no longer have anything to do with my youngest daughter because I got tired of the constant drama and constant strife. All have had multiple shots at redemption and I just don't have the time or energy, nor the inclination to deal with any of them. I don't wish bad on any of them, I just want nothing more to do with them. I dedicate myself to maintaining close relationships with my other 2 kids and my grandkids. They are my legacy.

Some folks just aren't as "emotional" as others. Might make them seem "cold" but it isn't necessarily so. I'm not a big huggy/kissy/emotional person... I guess what I'm trying to say is if it's a relationship you'd like to maintain, then you'll do your best to maintain it. If the relationship isn't reciprocated, then you have 2 choices... continue one sided, or walk away and move on. I'm rambling.

Got a few pics of the new water system:

Moved the drain plug outside the coop, opened a hole at the floor to drain spillage, moved the nipple station to the outside wall of the coop for less affected area and gained a few gallons of volume. I now have about 8 gallons of water reserve. Hoping this will eliminate the water/mud puddle under the drink station.

I moved the cornish x chicks outside to the coop. It's 100* here and they are panting. But they are in the coop where it is cooler than outside. And one of my Maran girls wanted in with them so I will be watching to see if she mothers them.

In that tote is the Buckeye hen on two eggs again! She won't give up! Maybe she will adopt these chicks!
