We have rose hips here, and at our old house there was loads of blackberries. We did try to make rose hip syrup once but.. Hmm yeah didn't go so well.

And I have a slew of Rasberry crazy ants invading my prorerty. 2 different exterminator companies had to refund my $.
Now I cant get my bees.
Anybody have any ideas?
I know 1 of the things they sprayed was Talstar...It nor the granules worked.

Where are the ants that are causing a problem? I have kitchen ants and the only thing that they seem to be attracted to (bait wise) is Advion Ant (which I think Ron recommended 3 gillion years ago). The only problem I have with Advion Ant is that they eat it and die and the colony dies for about 3 days and then either hatches/regenerates or a new colony moves in.

Repeat cycle.

Pour boiling water on them. that will get the topmost ones in an ant hill, the rest will come running out. They will carry eggs away and the dead bodies. This is when you have a helper and more boiling water, to pour . .They do not regenerate . Because Chicago water is expensive, I generally reuse the water that I used to boil sweet corn, or eggs ( just reheat it). Caution: do not pour boiling water on yourself!!!

You can follow the ant egg trail, to their new location and mark it for devastation with the next round. They don't like chlorine bleach either, or Dawn dish detergent ( think it suffocates them).

Everywhere outside.
They dont come in. We spray Bengal gold around the windows and doors. If we ever see a bug inside it is dead
