Oh, I can see how this thread was so much more attractive to you.

But this thread, and others I hang out on are in the "Random Ramblings" section, so I expect them to be random...and to um, ramble.

When giving hatching advice, I think it helps the people asking questions to get a clear answer without looking through pages and pages to see if anyone commented on their question in-between the rambling. The reference collection there is great though.

It is a great thread and usually the questions do get answered but like you said in between random talk which I also part take in. I do find that many will bump the question up if it's not answered or tag a few of the more knowledgeable people. I built my bator using the notes in that thread with added info from YouTube. I'm just happy sally is finding a happy medium now instead of focusing on one thread that is fast paced and moving.

Just a quick stop in before I head to bed. DD had our second grandchild yesterday. Fine young son. Welcome to the world Waylon Michael Garrett. That is Miss Liv his sister holding him. She thinks he is her baby. DD said she kept bringing people into the room to see her baby.

I have been seeing them since Monday on Campus(UC Davis). They do not pay attention to anything but the phone. Apparently you aim the phone where GPS says to and the little monster appears on the screen. You then have to "battle" it and if you win, it becomes yours.

It is crazy!
There have been rapes, murders, theft and accidents with the game. Gamers are being lured and then stalked. Those playing it need to be very careful!

Apparently two gamers went over a bluff cliff. Darwin's theory in action... Just sayin'.....

You'd better hope the coyotes don't figure out that your dogs are food also

More and more stories of folks loosing their dogs and cats to coyotes. When the rabbits run out, guess they have to take on prey with teeth that can potentially fight back. Recently a coyote took a dog on leash away from the owner, in town, an hours drive from here. A trio of coyotes can take down a wolf.

re: credit cards

Not too long ago Michael's (yes, the craft store) had a spate of skimmers installed inside the store. How does that happen? Target's problem was that the data banks were hacked. And then, just sometimes, somebody gets lucky playing random 16 number picks. I had it happen twice and my credit card company caught it where they were trying to buy small items until they hit the right PIN and then off to the big buys... Like was I really in some little village in France buying paperclips? It was a card I seldom used, so any activity caught attention.

re: Rabbits

We are inundated. Our orchard lawn has spawned a neighborhood game: How many rabbits can you count? At any one time there's at least a dozen...and those are only the ones you can see. My lawns this year have taken a big hit, especially in the area used as the rabbit communal toilet...spray it with water and zillions of pellet poos fly up. I think someone thinned (illegally and unannounced) the coyote population as most of the rabbit carcasses discovered on our property seem to be hawk-related and our nightly serenades have ceased. I did, however, discover some bobcat tracks in the veggie compound. And, ewwww, you can see the ticks on them. My fear is tularemia, a rabbit-borne illness. Unfortunately, we live in a bullet-free village....Otherwise all my former law enforcement neighbors would gladly play sniper from my rooftop.

re: Pokemon go

The critters have shown up outside halfway houses for alcoholics and sex offenders. My nephew has one in his bathroom....really! There's a lovely spoof on FB called Chardonnay Go where women are frenzy running all over the neighborhood finding glasses of wine. Pretty darn funny.
My 18 y.o. niece spent 4 hours in downtown Santa Cruz with a friend yesterday playing Pokemon Go. She says it's an interesting way to meet people and might just lead to world peace. (I think I'll send her some unicorns and crystals....)
Just not my cup o' tea. Besides, I don't own a smart phone or iPhone, so any participation would be up to my imagination.
