We have had an incredibly dry spring/summer here, too. The past couple "strong thunderstorms" we've seen clouds but no rain. It's been very strange. I love a good thunderstorm, hope we get one soon.

We got thunderstomped all afternoon today, though it really didn't add up to much - a little more than an inch of rain, all told. The storms didn't seem to be going much of anywhere, they just kept regenerating and raining themselves out. It's been pretty typical summer weather here - hot, humid, and a chance of rain almost every day.
