The Old Folks Home

Washer stopped working... We tried everything (cleaning it out, turning on and off, unplugging and replugging)

I started to panic, it is not yet a year old... Gotta be kidding....

Googled... Child lock was on

Great tip on cooking them face down. What are Deercamp cookies?
Deercamp cookies are a recipe I finally perfected years ago for all the deer hunters every year to take out into the woods with them. I wanted something healthier for them to stick in their pockets that would supply them with lots of protein and carbs for staying warm and keeping them alert. They are made with rolled oats, organic peanut butter, local harvest maple syrup, walnuts and other good natural stuff. Turns out they have become so popular that I have to make them every fall whether the guys come for deer camp or not

face down is squash cut in half and layed cut side down on an oven sheet.... You can cook just about all squash that way
Great job once again Deb! What would that family do without you?

I think roomonthebroom, being new to (me anyway) needed an explanation about what my deercamp cookies were. (The rest of you have already heard all my deer camp stories

Those sound yummy! I wish I had some right now. I've been elbow deep in a project that's had me living off coffee, iced tea & chips for days. The lack of sustenance is starting to make me loopy.

I love stories, sorry I missed those.

Potatoes?

Yuppers!

You nailed it!

Had all sorts of helpers today...

To hill up the taters and eat the "weeds" I tossed over the fence.

Can't get over how pretty and colourful these flowers are...

Plant them jest for the flower show, eh!

And yes, Deb...you can end up with tomato like fruit tho I believe we are not suppose to really want those.

Both tomato and potato are from the Nightshade family (Solanaceae)...I recall seeing a fantastic tomatoes on top and potatoes on roots...think it was a drawing. Not sure if'n that is possible but could be...they are doing all sorts of funky things...space saver, too! I think it CAN be done by grafting...
