The Old Folks Home

I'm about to go get helping #3 of domino's cracker crust, 3 topping pizza... Pepperoni, mushroom and ground beef. Dinner at 9:30... I must be European or something... Actually, it's been a very difficult day.

Want to talk about it?

It is happening. We are in the process of buying a home. FINALLY!

Congrats!

Cyn, how do you keep 34 grandkids straight?

I'm quaking at the thought of family get-togethers. In my mind, I'm flashing back to my mother walking into a room, looking at my brother, and saying, "Don/Tom/Todd augh! You know who you are!"

I love any fresh seafood, but being landlocked has it's pitfalls the biggest being the nearest fresh seafood being a thousand miles or more away. My dad was born and raised in Pennsylvania. I can remember my mom bringing home large 'fresh' oysters when I was growing up in IL and dad snorting at them, calling them culls, and telling us about a single fried oyster that would cover an entire dinner plate. Then there was the restaurant we lived near after we married that had a Friday night seafood buffet.Everything from crab legs to fresh water muscles. It closed about 4 years ago.

Man I miss that restaurant.

You just made me hungry for seafood at 8:30 in the morning.

I do pretty good with the names, if I stop and think at times, before I speak. Christmas. I used to do those tie blankets. Now, as we alllll get together in a church building, because there are so many of us, I just buy inexpensive gifts. So many for girls and boys...I go over the number of them, so they can choose. Not wrapped. They love going to Grandpa and Grandma's gift table.
We now have one Great Grandchild. Here is a cute board that .. this daughter that had this baby...made for us yrs. ago. Fun. :)
