The Old Folks Home

Well, I had to walk to the barn yesterday, every rescue vehicle in the area it seemed was blocking the road... turns out, a house had caught on fire, 6 of 7 dogs died in the fire, purebred boxers, several of which were puppies that had found homes (at $1,200 each)... no humans were hurt, I don't know what damage was done to the house, seeing as there were 4 fire trucks there, I assume if nothing else, the water damage is pretty significant....

That is really terrible! :hit Any idea what started it?

A neighbor that was home when it started said he used to be a fireman and it smelled like an electrical fire to him. But no official word.

x 2 Microchick - poor dogs. Former acquaintances from Michigan had a fire which only killed mama dog and her 7 puppies. They raised dogs - none of theirs died but somehow in the commotion they forgot them... I remember - the beautiful mama was a dog I had given them. They seemed to have a lot of accidents in the time I knew them.
So glad I "unknow " them since that time. They didn't seem the least bit sad about it, just mentioned it briefly, in passing, to me.

Wow... I think this one happened while everyone was out, the fire trucks were already there when the little girl got off the school bus. The adults were there when the dogs were being brought out.
